Rosalind Reed Dwight was an architect active in Portland from 1977 until her untimely death in 1989 at age 39. Her work includes the restoration of the McLoughlin House and the Barclay House in Oregon City. She was held in affectionate high regard by the Portland design community.
Two Rosalind Reed Dwight Scholarships are given each year – one each to a female undergraduate architectural student at the University of Oregon and Portland State University. Created by a group of friends, and funded by the Portland architecture and design community in her memory, this award comes with expectations and hope that the honor will aid the recipient in her accomplishments.
