Membership & Communications Coordinator

We are seeking a full time Membership & Communications Coordinator to join the AFO team. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position.

Salary: $45-48k + healthcare stipend, paid time off, sick leave and short term disability

Job description:

The Membership and Communications Coordinator will serve as the primary point person for the Architecture Foundation of Oregon’s broad constituent base. The role will involve managing day to day communications needs including:

  • Email newsletters
  • Social media posting (including content creation)
  • Press releases
  • Donor communications (donor acknowledgement letters, fundraising communications)
  • Database management

Additionally, this person will work with the Executive Director and Board leadership to execute on the fundraising and development plan for the organization. This person will also assist the Associate Director in the planning and execution of our major fall Fundraising event – Honored Citizen and spearhead the donor follow up after the event.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • 2-4 years in a development/communications role
  • Strong writing skills
  • Donor management experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Content creation experience

The summer and fall represent AFO’s busiest event seasons but smaller member events and board meetings occur year-round. Experience with donation platforms such as Greater Giving is preferred.
