DESCRIPTION:ELSO: Exploring engineering day – omsi\nHosted by ELSO’s Studio Justice Program \nELSO’s “Studio Justice” program is excited to announce the return of its annual Exploring Engineering Day (EED) on March 20\, 2025\, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at OMSI. \nThis year’s event\, themed “Submerged: Dive Into Engineering\,” invites youths to explore the exciting world of engineering through hands-on activities\, inspiring guest speakers\, and exciting prizes. \nEED is designed to empower youths in grades 1st-8th to engage with science\, technology\, engineering\, arts and mathematics (STEAMED) in a fun and interactive way. Attendees will have the chance to participate in a variety of engineering-related challenges and experiments\, guided by professionals in the field\, who will showcase how engineering shapes the world around us. \nThis event will include: \n\nHands-On Learning: Engage in interactive activities to explore engineering concepts.\nGuest Speakers: Hear from inspiring engineers who will share their experiences and offer advice on pursuing careers in STEAMED fields.\nFree Food & Drinks: Free meal for kids and snacks for adults.\nSpecial Prizes: Win exciting prizes that highlight the theme of engineering and innovation.\n\nThis event is free to attend\, but space is limited. Participants will take on hands-on design challenges and discover how their creativity can be applied to careers in engineering and technology.
