She believes that transit infrastructure has the power to shape opportunity and hopes to design transportation systems that reduce dependence on cars. \nThrough her studies she is exploring how public transit\, including railways and safer bike networks\, can improve mobility\, reduce environmental impact\, and help underserved communities thrive. “Access to public transit has been repeatedly shown to be the single biggest factor in an individual escaping a state of poverty.
