A student may only have one ASE internship during their high school career. This is to ensure that more students are able to participate in the ASE program.\nBe a rising 10th\, 11th\, or 12th grader (or equivalent).\nBe interested in pursuing a career in math and science\, motivated to learn\, and prepared to participate in a professional environment.\nLive near our internship locations (usually in the Portland-Metro area\, and the Albany/Corvallis/Eugene areas) OR have adult family or friends that you can live with during the summer near our internship locations. (ASE does not provide housing for students and does not allow students to live on their own.) DESCRIPTION:Future Vision Youth Committee Application Deadline – Oregon Metro\nHosted by Oregon Metro  \n\n\nHelp create the future you want to see! Metro is teaming up with Next Up and Blueprint Foundation to recruit 20 youth to help develop the Future Vision for the region. \nThe committee will help shape the direction of the vision while deepening their civic leadership skills and engaging with other youth and community members along the way. \nThe Future Vision will create a foundation of shared values to guide regional programs\, plans and policies in the future. It will touch on a wide range of topics\, including land use\, transportation\, our economy\, housing\, climate\, nature\, arts and culture. \nQualifications\nThis opportunity is for youth between 16 and 24 years old who live\, work\, go to school or spend a lot of time in Clackamas\, Multnomah or Washington County. \nNo previous knowledge in the topics of housing\, economy\, climate\, nature\, arts and culture is required\, however related lived experience\, passion or interest is a plus. The curriculum will include support and education needed to meaningfully participate. \nApplicants should have an interest in any of the following: \n\nCreating a positive future for your community\nPushing your imagination beyond its limits\nBecoming the best future ancestor you can be\nImproving access to housing and jobs\, supporting the local economy\, protecting nature\, addressing climate change\, increasing transportation options\, arts and culture\, or education\nSharing your ideas with others\, including fellow community leaders and elected officials\nCreating art to connect with others and express your ideas\nLearning how to get answers and advocate for yourself\n\nAccommodations for language or ADA accessibility will be provided as needed. \nTime commitment and stipend\nAlongside the Future Vision Commission\, the Future Vision Youth Committee will oversee the project through its completion in 2027 and provide recommendations to Metro Council and project staff. \n\nMeetings are expected to be between 2-3 hours.\nMeetings will take place 1-2 times per month from February 2026 and February 2027. DESCRIPTION:IIDA Student Mentoring Program\nHosted by IIDA  \nThe IIDA Student Mentoring Program offers IIDA Student members a chance to gain and share insight into a career in the commercial interior design community by meeting with and shadowing a professional. \n\n\nEligibility\n\nThe IIDA Student Mentoring Program is an opportunity for professionals to inspire emerging designers and share their expertise and for students to expand their network and professional connections. This year the mentoring program will be offered in-person and virtually\, giving mentors and students the flexibility they need for a successful mentoring experience.
