SUMMARY:Saturday Academy - Portland Makers Market Application Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Portland Makers Market\nHosted by Saturday Academy \nSaturday Academy is hosting a Maker’s Market on Saturday\, September 19! \nPortland is full of incredible talent. Let’s come together as a community to support emerging makers and artists! This event is designed to uplift and celebrate the next generation by providing space to share their work with a broader audience. \nThis Makers Market is an opportunity for any student in grades 1-12 to create\, craft\, draw\, make\, paint\, and more — and then showcase their work while also selling it at the market. Whether you’re an experienced maker and market-goer or this is your first time\, we’ll be there to support your creative process\, help spread the word about your participation\, and assist you in selling your creations to the public. \nApplying to be a vendor is free. We’ll provide a table for you to display your work\, and you’ll keep all the money that you make that day. We will require each vendor to create one item\, inspired by a prompt\, in their own style. If sold\, proceeds from that item go directly to supporting Saturday Academy’s mission to spark curiosity\, connect our community\, and empower students to become the innovative thinkers and problem solvers of the next generation. \nWhen does the application period end? \n\nFor best consideration\, apply by 11:59 p.m. July 15th\, 2026.\nNo applications will be accepted after 11:59 p.m.\, July 31st\, 2026.\nApplications are approved on a rolling basis until all makers’ spaces are filled.\n\nHow are vendors selected?\nSaturday Academy will make its determination based on several factors in your application. This includes\, but is not limited to: \n\nBy the event date\, would you have enough inventory to sell?\n\n\n\nWe consider having enough inventory to mean you can sell at least 12 items. The baseline is ultimately dependent on the size and realistic cost of your items.\n\n\n\n\nWill it be able to be sold at a table indoors?\nDoes the work demonstrate quality craftsmanship?\nIs the suggested cost per item reasonable?\n\nWhen will I know if I am accepted as a vendor?\nYou’ll be notified no later than August 14\, 2026. \nApply to be a Vendor
