SUMMARY:Dine & Design: The Royal Five
DESCRIPTION:Come get an early peek at renowned architect Robert Oshatz’s latest project\, The Royal Five\, in the Portland hills.\nHosted by Robert Oshatz & Don Tankersley Construction \nYou’ll experience an intimate inside look at this magnificent work in progress and enjoy a special Q&A with Bob Oshatz and architecture writer Brian Libby. Enjoy a casual meal surrounded by big-leaf maples with AFO friends. \nOshatz has designed these residences – five steel-framed\, stucco-and-wood structures – on a sloping piece of land in the Forest Park neighborhood. The first house is nearing completion and ready for a little party. While Oshatz has designed distinctive homes across the country and other parts of the world\, he sees these five homes as an “opportunity to do something locally that people here can see what I believe in.” Read more about The Royal Five here. \nThe Royal Five\nWednesday\, August 21\n5:30-7:30pm\nNorthwest Portland (address will be shared upon registration) \nRegister Now\nAFO Members – $80\nNon-AFO Members – $90\nStudent & Emerging Professionals – $30 \nOur summer Dine & Design event series is a fundraiser benefitting AFO programming\, including Architects in Schools and AFO scholarships.
