Interested in taking part in this exciting design competition? Click here! \nAbout Architects in Schools (AiS)\nThe AiS program introduces Oregon’s youngest design-thinkers to the power and possibilities of design with the end goal of creating lifelong learners and critical thinkers who have a voice in their community. The program has grown to serving more than 5\,000 elementary and middle school students across the state of Oregon. \nAiS pairs classroom teachers with design professionals\, provides teacher/design professional training and residency preparation\, design professional classroom involvement\, supply fund support for low-income schools and a public exhibit of student work at the end of the residency period. In addition\, AFO offers a week long virtual summer camp based on AiS curricula for children ages 8-12. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to an event celebrating the hard work of our 2024-25 Architects in Schools students in Southern Oregon! This is our culminating event of the season\, where participating students exhibit the work they have completed during their Architects in Schools residencies. \nThis Architects in Schools season was another huge success\, reaching thousands of students across the state of Oregon. Over 150 design and building professionals have spent over 3\,000 volunteer hours in classrooms this year\, educating students on the built environment and the process of designing and building communities. \nStudent work will be exhibited at Art in Bloom on May 10 from 11:00am-5:00pm and May 11 from 11:00am-4:00pm.
