DESCRIPTION:PSU Arch High Summer Immersion Program\nHosted by the PSU School of Architecture \nWhen: July 8-August 2\, Tuesday-Thursday\, 9:30am-3:30pm\nWhere: PSU School of Architecture\, Portland\nServing: Students ages 14-20\nService Area: Portland Metro\nTopic: Architecture\nProgram Type: Summer camp\nCost: Free \nDuring this time\, students will be introduced into architecture through guided workshops including drafting & drawing\, model-building and public speaking. More specifically\, the PSU Arch High Immersion Program is interested in supporting our entire community especially BIPOC\, Latinx\, Queer\, Non-Binary and other marginalized or under-resourced students in addition to first-generation college applicants. The profession of architecture is one of the least diverse in the United States and we specifically designed this program to actively change that\, while also changing how architecture is taught to students from an early age. \nTransportation\, food and materials will all be provided. Most materials will be able to be taken home with you after the summer term. Finally\, we want to remind you that as student from this cohort can apply for our Undergraduate Opportunity Scholarship. This opportunity will allow the student to attend PSU on a full scholarship for four years. At any rate\, we would love to know more about you\, your background and why architecture interests you!
