Frasca Event: Catalyzing PDX

July 23 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Can a monumental project like the Portland International Airport remodel catalyze the next big idea?

The beloved airport remodel has gained international acclaim and is an unprecedented story of statewide engagement and collaboration. Material providers, artists, community leaders, and design and building partners from across the state came together to create a travel experience that celebrates our region for both visitors and residents to enjoy.

ZGF Partners and leaders of the airport remodel Sharron van der Meulen and Eugene Sandoval now muse about what’s next for our region. Does the PDX project prove that we can be a center of world-class design? How do we empower the next big ideas to become realities? What is our role as design thinkers and community members to embrace a collaborative mindset?

Join AFO, the Oregon Historical Society, and Restore Oregon for a conversation with Sharron van der Meulen and Eugene Sandoval about bringing an epic vision to life and how to channel our momentum into creative endeavors.
