ReBuilding Center – Youth Classes – Tiny Tables (Ages 12-17)

July 22 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

ReBuilding Center – Youth Classes – Tiny Tables (Ages 12-17)

Organized by ReBuilding Center

Does your child love hands-on activities? Are they curious about future careers in the trades? Our youth classes are designed to introduce youth to the world of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and more while fostering creativity and confidence.

In this class you can build a small table, a plant stand, night stand, or maybe a catch-all next to the front door. Using our very simple design and reclaimed lumber, you’ll make a simple table or bench while gaining skills and confidence to use in future DIY projects. (Maximum size: 24” on each side)

This is a project-based class. Come with a basic idea and leave with your new piece of custom furniture!

Topics covered:

  • Measuring & marking accurately

  • Using chop saws safely

  • Drills and drivers

  • Using finish nail guns

Skill level: This workshop is open to youth ages 12-18. No prior experience is necessary. Parent or guardian permission required.

Class Schedule: Class will run for 2.5 hours with no break planned

Price: We have moved to a sliding scale pricing model while funding allows! Choose which tier fits your situation best:

$75 – Pay-It-Forward Ticket: Helps fund access for others.

$60 – True Cost Ticket: Covers the actual cost of running the class.
