Visions for Oregon: Insights from the AEC Community

2025 Annual Impact Survey Results

July 24, 2025

In 2024, AFO embarked on a new three-year strategic plan with the assistance of strategic consultant Stephanie Gioia of Future Work Design. AFO designed the strategic plan with our community at the center, understanding that the needs of the community are changing and that we must listen extensively to guide our work to meet those needs.

To design our strategic direction, we conducted listening sessions with our audiences, including AFO members and non-members, emerging to late-stage AEC career professionals, educators, students, and community members throughout the state.

We are proud to share the results of AFO’s Annual Impact Survey conducted from January-March 2025. This was a community-centered survey intended to inform AFO about our community’s values, wants, and needs. Our primary audience consists of architects, engineers, contractors, design professionals, and educators.

With the artistic mind of Lisa Occhipinti, we can share the data with you through these gorgeous visualizations, inspired by the great W. E. B. Du Bois. We deeply thank the survey participants and Lisa Occhipinti for providing such valuable data to AFO and our community.
