Event Program and Agenda

Each year, teachers across Oregon help us deliver our Architects in Schools program to over 5,400 elementary school students. Together with volunteer design and building professionals, they are AFO’s first responders and we couldn’t bring the power of design to Oregon kids without them!

Join us this October 28 to catch up with AFO, starting with a cocktail demo and musical performance. Then enjoy a program that will include a celebration of Oregon teachers and an inspiring presentation from the founders of KairosPDX – an education nonprofit focused on transforming education through a model built on love and inclusion that elevates the voices of historically underserved children, their families and their communities.

While we understand that there is nothing quite like the sense of community that comes from our in-person event, we hope you’ll join us this year for a program that is short, succinct, fun and maybe even a little surprising!

What to expect:

Inspiration from the three founders of KairosPDX, Marsha Williams, Zalika Gardner & Kali Ladd

Cocktail demo with Joe Kim of 5Fusion in Bend. If you’re not drooling yet, take a look at the 5Fusion gallery.

Performance by local artist Emmanuel Henreid (aka Onry). Watch a sneak preview here – you will get chills!

Silent Auction featuring a Sunriver getaway & much more!

Brief highlights from teachers around Oregon.
