2026 High School Summer Internship

Organized by NSBE Portland Professionals

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Portland Professionals is excited to offer our fourth high school internship experience for Summer 2026. We have three internships available, thanks to our incredible hosts: Wallis Engineering, PAE, TBD.

Students will be paid ($18/hr) during their internship and receive a stipend to cover transportation (via gas gift card or Uber gift card).

*Please note that applying does not guarantee an internship due to a limited number of host companies*

Some host firms will require a resume, interview, or meet and greet to confirm placement, but will be dependent on the firm. Next steps will be coordinated through NSBE Portland by end of May 2026.

This program is meant for Black/African American high school students as relates to our mission as the National Society of Black Engineers.

Requirements:

• Students must be current Juniors / Seniors in high school
• Located in the Portland, Oregon Metro region or Vancouver, Washington.
• Students must be available for 4-6 consecutive weeks during Summer Break 2026
