The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Portland Professionals is excited to offer our fifth year of annual scholarships. We will award four (4) academic scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to eligible high school graduates and college students. Our mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION CRITERA

1. Applicant must be a high school graduate.
2. Applicant must be enrolled or recently accepted to an accredited college.
3. Applicant must submit one (1) letter of recommendation.
4. Have lived in Oregon/Vancouver, WA (Metro Region) OR attend college in Oregon.
5. Applicant must identify as Black / African American.
6. Applicant should have an interest or currently majoring in a STEM field: science, technology, engineering, or mathematical degree.

NOTE: While we acknowledge AI’s advances in technology and innovation, it will not be accepted for this scholarship. All applications will be checked with an AI screen to ensure authenticity.

Scholarship awardees will be asked to provide college registrar verification for Fall 2025 Term. Scholarships will be awarded directly to the educational institution.
