AFO + PCC Architecture and interior design scholarship – $5,000

Organized by AFO & PCC

$5,000 scholarship for first-generation students enrolled in PCC Architectural Design and Drafting or Interior Design degree program.

In partnership with PCC Foundation, AFO supports first-generation college students pursuing a degree through Portland Community College’s Architectural Design and Drafting or Interior Design programs.

This award was established to increase access to architecture and interior design fields. Scholarship funds are unrestricted.

Eligibility & Process

Eligibility
  • Be enrolled in a degree program at PCC in Architectural Design and Drafting or Interior Design
  • Preference given to first-generation college students
  • Preference for students enrolled in 6 credits or more
Application Process
  • Applicants must apply directly through PCC Foundation
  • Applications open annually November 1 with a February 1 deadline
  • Applications are evaluated by PCC Foundation
  • Applicants will be notified of the decision in June

Scholarship recipients are asked to attend our annual Building Pathways showcase to receive their awards in the Spring. The event is attended by members of the architecture, engineering, construction, and design community from across the state and celebrates the hard work and accomplishments of our Scholars.

Future Connect: This PCC program provides scholarships and mentorship to students who identify as first-generation or from families with limited-incomes.

First-Year Experience: A PCC program that connects first-generation college students with a coach, regular career guidance, support navigating college resources, and a targeted curriculum for college success.
